For Current ARCH Families Wanting to Log Hours Online: If you are currently enrolled in the ARCH Program and you are registered to submit hours through our website, please click here: ARCH Family Login Only one parent, guardian, or primary caregiver in the participant’s home can have access to submit respite services online through the ARCH Family portal. If you do not currently have access to the portal and would like to enter the respite electronically, click here to Request Access. If you are currently enrolled in the ARCH Program, please email us or call 314-817-2236. In-Home Residential Support (Respite) If you are a family member caring for a child or adult with an intellectual or developmental disability, St. Louis Arc’s ARCH program (Assistance with Residential Care in the Home) can give you the extra support you need. ARCH, also referred to as respite”, reimburses primary caregivers at a standard rate for short-term relief services they receive either in their own home, within the community, or in the home of a care provider. The ARCH program is available only to families living in St. Louis County or St. Louis City at this time. As a registered ARCH participant, you’ll qualify for a specified number of in home support hours annually—when you decide to use them is up to you. You can choose anyone whom you feel is qualified to be a care provider, as long as he or she does not live in your home, is not a parent or stepparent of the person who needs care, and is 18 or older. If you do not already have someone to provide short-term care, registered families can log into the ARCH community and access our care provider resources to find potential caregivers in your area. For additional information about what In-Home Residential Support is, please watch our Q & A About the Respite Program . For Families Wanting to Request New Enrollment in our Respite Program: Please fill out the Eligibility Questionnaire here . If you need help enrolling, please reach out to us at [email protected] or call 314-817-2236. To apply for ARCH Services, you must meet the following guidelines: You must be the primary caregiver for a person with a diagnosed intellectual or developmental disability who lives in his or her natural home. Documentation of diagnosis will be required. The person’s natural home must be located in St. Louis County or St. Louis City. For Care Providers: Becoming a Respite Care Provider offers a flexible, part-time opportunity for people looking for something meaningful to do in their free time. As an independent contractor, Respite Care Providers offer short-term support to an adult or child with a disability. To Begin the Respite Care Provider Process: Complete the online questionnaire or call 314-817-2236 with questions. Select the areas and times (day, night, overnight, weekend) you are willing to work. Your contact information and preferences will be added to the Respite Care Provider list. If your preferences match those of a family, they will contact you directly.
